Geologist. Born in Drogheda, Ireland and elected Fellow of the Royal Geological Society of Ireland in 1871. Appointed Government Geologist in Western Australia in 1883. Member of two survey parties to the Kimberley in 1883 and 1884. His published reports and maps resulting from these expeditions are the first geological accounts of the Kimberleys.
